cornsnake darkened & blistered face

Question
I noticed yesterday that my cornsnake, which is an albino, about 5-6 yrs old, is developing blisters and brownish crinkly skin around her whole face. Her eyes have also clouded over, but not in the way she does when she sheds. It looks pretty nasty and am a bit worried about it. I cant find a vet in the area that will look at her, and not sure what to do. She has fresh water, but not touching it, and looks a bit dehydrated. I unplugged her heating pad about a week ago, which I always keep on low, since it is warming up around here, but am worried that somehow it could be a burn....tho I see no other affected area than her face. I could send a picture of her if needed, just send me a url to send it too. I really hope you can give me some advice. Thanks in advance, Eva

Do the Blisters appear to be fluid-filled? If they are, your cornsnake likely has a true blister disease which needs to be treated with antibiotics. The blisters typically do ulcerate which could explain the brownish, crinkly skin. The disease is caused by dampness and dirt.
So, check the habitat and improve as needed.

Hope this helps.. Please send me a photo of the cornsnake condition. Send it to my e-mail address: lizardldy25@yahoo.com

              Thanks for letting me know.
