Question
Hello, I have had my leopard Gecko for 3 years and about 2 weeks ago he had a bad shed and didn't get it off of his eyes, i helped him get it off with baby oil, under advice from the local Reptile centre, and he seemed to be doing fine, 2 weeks on and he hasn't eaten in about 4-5 days and he now has a small lump on the right underside of his mouth, do you know what this is? and how can i help him?

Answer
Hello Stewart,

Can you post a picture of that lump for me?
I hope that the lump is not an abscess or something.  Is it hard or soft?
Did the lump crop up after the bad shed on the eyes?
We may need to intervene with his feeding by using a plastic dropper or syringe to get some chicken or turkey babyfood into him for awhile.
So the lump could be an abscess or a cyst.
You could get some saline solution to put in his eyes, to help clear them out if he is still having trouble.  You might want to consider taking him to see a vet to aspirate some fluid from that area, to make sure it is not a pocket of infection.
Has he gotten bitten from a cricket possibly?
