Question
I have a 10week old bunny and wanted to know how much water she needs to consume in one day my bunny doesnt seem to be drinking much and will need to feed her water and would like to know how much water intake is enough and how to syringe feed her?

Answer
Hi,

it varies depending on temperature, size and activity.  I can't tell you how much she needs.  The best way to give her water, and the best way that encourages rabbits to drink more, is to get a large, heavy crock bowl (from a pet supply store) and let her drink from that.  It is more natural for rabbits to drink in that position and they are more likely to drink more (and more often) from a bowl than a bottle.  Just refresh (replace) the water with fresh water twice a day.

It will also give her something a little cooler to be able to lean against and feel good laying next to.  Our guys do this all the time.

I would have your regular good rabbit vet show you how to syringe feed, because you need to be able to do it slowly because you can't force it in too fast, otherwise liquid gets into the lungs and that is potentially deadly for rabbits.  And you can only use PLASTIC droppers, NEVER glass.
