Question
I have an 18 month old florida white bun.She was spayed in july through a clinic quite far from my house as i could not find a good rabbit vet near me. She had a thourgh checkup as well as blood tests and was found to be healthy. When she was younger i wrote to you with the same problem but turned out it was the pellet mix she was getting as well as too many rabbit "treats". She was then put on a mix 1/2 and 1/2 alfalfa and timothy pellets, seemed everything was fine. For about the last 2 weeks she has been having the same problem only this time its a large soft mass stuck to her rear that i gently remove with my hand in a basin with a small amount of warm water.I have been looking on line to get some insight and it seems i may be feeding her too much vegies thus preventing her from eating sufficient hay.I give her 3 small plates of vegies a day with unlimited timothy hay.My main concern is that i never see her drink water, she is free range in certain rooms and has fresh water available,I am concerned if i take away the vegies completely she will become dehydrated.I am not sure how to go about doing this and as well should i find someone to tests her stools? She is healthy otherwise it seems, normal droppings the balance of the day, eats well, very active.Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

Answer
Dear Anita,

I may have sent you this link before, but here it is again:

If her diet is fine now, then the next most common culprit is molar spurs or other dental problem causing discomfort, and hence, GI tract slowdown.  Please see:

and find a rabbit-savvy vet to do a deep molar exam here:

Hope this helps.
