Baby rabbit poop/ Mother attacking babies.

Question
My girlfriends pet Lionhead rabbit just 32 days ago had baby bunnies which have turned out well so far except that their poop seems smushy and clumped together. We would like to know if there are any dangers in that.

Also, The mother is pregnant again, and is near giving bith. She has recently been attacking the 32-day-olds when they go in certain areas around the room or near her. These areas include: her cage, their old nest(most likely the new nest as well), her Timothy Hay supply, and the corner where she relaxes most of the time.

Could it be the stress of her companion taken away (we're getting him fixed) and/or the stress of the pregnancy? We're torn between putting the babies and mother together in case she's still feeding them, or keeping them separated to avoid attacks. What should we do?

Answer
Are the babies being fed anything other than hay and pellets?  If so, take away anything else they are eating.  At this age their digestive systems are still adjusting to solid food.  If that's all they are eating, and still having the issue, they might have coccidia or some other parasite which would require antibiotics to cure.

It's most likely the pregnancy, while she is building her new nest nothing is going to get in her way, especially the first litter.

I think it is best to keep them together, so she can continue nursing them, but watch to make sure that no one is getting seriously injured.

A pregnant rabbit is very focused, and will not even notice she is injuring her babies when building a nest.
