My bunny is acting strange

Question
Good day, We have a small bunny for about three years.  We know that when we got her, we were her second owners.  She has always been "just like a bunny" will let you pet her but don't move too fast or she might nip at your hand.  You had to support her bottom to make sure she didn't squirm out of your grip or scratch you to death When you held her.  For the past couple days, she's different?  She cocks her head to one side almost like she is lopsided? I saw her just fall over, like she lost her balance?  She is too tame now and doesn't care if you pick her up.  I put her on the ground outside today, just to see how she would behave and she wouldn't go anywhere and was kinds going in circles.  She doesn't seem like she is in pain and actually I watched her clean herself and she is eating and drinking normally, so far.  She just has an usual look to her now; when she looks at you, her head sits to one side?  Did she have a stroke possibly.  What could happen next?  It's always so sad when pets get sick.  thank you so much for your expertise.
Cheers,
Jennifer Kline, Nevada.

Answer
Dear Jennifer,

It sounds as if your bunny is in the early stages of torticollis/head tilt, which can have various causes.  You can read about this here:

and

Prompt treatment is essential for giving the best chance of full recovery, so please use the list linked here to find a rabbit savvy vet to help you:

I hope your bunny will be back to normal soon.

Take care,

Dana
