Question
My rabbit is 5 months old. Today I noticed that she ahs a slightly changed personality. She was misbehaving, so we used a forcefull tone and scorned her. We moved her cage and play area to a new location in the house and she seems to still be shaking. Whenever we take her home from the vet she shakes from being in her carrier, but I think she is still scared from her misbehaving, and scorning. I have read your other advice and I will see if she is still shaking in about 2 days.

Answer
At 5 months old, a rabbit will be just maturing sexually. This means the hormones will start to kick in. In females, it often results in the rabbit becoming grumpy or even aggressive. Rather than scold her, it is better to reward her for good behaviour and ignore her (or simply place her back in her cage if she would rather be out) when she misbehaves. If she is doing something destructive, simply move her away from it and say "no" in a clear but not scolding or overly loud voice.

I would also highly recommend getting her spayed. Spaying can curb unwanted behaviour because it removes the organs that produce the hormones that are causing the behavioural problems in the first place. It also prevents uterine and overian cancer, which can happen fairly often in female rabbits. This will prolong her life.

The shaking kind of worries me. Could you describe it in more detail? A rabbit should not be shaking more than a short while after a stressful experience. Either the scorning has been to harsh, and she is becoming afraid of you, or else she may have a health problem. Seizures can happen in rabbits, and stress or shock can trigger a seizure. White rabbits with blue eyes are the most succeptable to having seizures, but other colours can have them, too.
