Dwarf not drinking water

Question
We have a dwarf bunny about 6-8 months old and he has not been drinking any water from his bottle for almost a month. He still seems healthy and urinates. I give him a carrot and celery each day, in addition to his hay and pellets. could that be providing him with enough water. Prior to this he used to drink water and eat veggies too. This seems to happen since he was neutered.

Answer
Dear Judy,

As long as your bunny is eating well and producing normal urine that isn't extremely dark and concentrated, then he is probably sufficiently hydrated and getting enough water from the food he eats.

Still, it's a good idea to provide clean water in a heavy, ceramic crock for easy, constant access.  Rabbits drink more from a bowl, and it lets them drink in a more natural and safe position than a sipper bottle.

When weather is cooler, rabbits tend to drink a bit less, too.  But if you are concerned, you can have a good rabbit vet give him a good wellness exam to be sure he's fine:

Hope this helps.
