Question
I have a five year old lop rabbit. I've noticed that she's begun this behavior where she sort of stretches her head up and out, then looks like she might begin pulling fur from her chest, but doesn't. Today, I was very close to her when she did this, and I heard what sounded like a burping or regurgitating sound from her, then she seemed to chew for a few seconds.  She is in very good health and has a great appetite. She may be slightly overweight but is not obese.  This behavior is new.  Thank you.

If one of my rabbits did this, I'd get her to an experienced rabbit vet for a thorough, deep-oral exam to check for molar spurs, a molar root abscess, or other dental or oral problem in the back of the mouth.  For more information on the various possible problems, please read:
