Rabbit urinating on owner

My girlfriend's unneutured 1 year old male rabbit has been coming up to her and spraying her leg lately, sometimes several times a day. What causes this behavior, and can it be prevented through neutering?

Your friend's bunny is paying her the highest compliment a bunny can pay.  He's saying that he loves her, and is marking her as his own.
