Answer
African Greys can be noisy if they mimic something that is loud. Any bird can cause serious damage if they bite hard. An African Grey is big enough that they could definately damage your face if they wanted to. African Greys are a large parrot (but not as big as the large macaws or large cockatoos). They are about 13 inches in length, but very stocky. If an African Grey is cared for properly, they can live to be 90 years of age.

Ring neck parakeets can be loud. They normally are not timid, but can have issues with nippiness if they are not properly instructed.  They get to be about 14 inches in length, but are very slender and have long tails. (They are about the size of a conure). If properly cared for, a ring-neck parakeet can live to be 30 or even 40 years of age. Any parrot does alright kept by themselves, as long as they get enough attention and companionship from their human flock every day. It is recomended to get any parrot out of their cage for at least 2 hours every day. The larger parrots like cockatoos, macaws and african greys need even more than two hours out of cage time daily.  Ring neck parakeets can learn to talk, but are not as good at it as some other species of parrots.
