What type of parrot is this?

Question

Friendly bird A week ago ths small parrot flew out of no where into my shoulder. He/she is very friendly and well mannered. What I don't know is what type of parrot is it Quaker, Conure or what. Please help me determine specie and sex if possible.

You can not determine the sex without DNA testing however it looks like a Canary Wing Parakeet. If this bird is tame and came out of nowhere that is probably someones pet. You should see if it has a leg band with information on it to try to track the owners. They can fly for long distances. We found an Amazon recently and tracked the owners and he was from the state next to us.
