amazon with egg

Question
I have an amazon sitting on an infertile egg, it is driving my caique nuts, and affecting her feet, which seem to be sore. Should we remove this egg or let her continue to sit on it? She has been on it for 21 days. We didn't know if it was cruel to take it away, or is that the best thing to do?? Help. Everyone seems to have a different answer.

You can take it away but she may lay another you can get a fake egg to replace it. I think it would be better to direct your question to this forum. www.avianavenue.com
