LOvebird baby!!!

hi, my two love birds laid a clutch of eggs and there first egg hatched today, this is there first baby, and there second clutch, she has not fed it yet, so should there be a point where i step in and feed it if she does not feed it in a certain amount of time?

Hi, Shane.  Thanks for posting and congratulations!

Baby parrots can live off their yolk sacks for the first 24 hours.  Some moms/dads feed their babies within a few hours after hatching (the baby needs to dry off and rest a while), some don't feed until the next day.  I'd wait and see what happens...they'll likely care for it probably.  If you run into problems, come back.
