Question
HI, I was away at colege and now that I am back I am noticing that her beak does not close completely. It looks like the bottom part of the beak has grown so that the top part does not close all f the way.  Is this a problem, and if so what should be done about it?  thanks!

Answer
Hello Jaime,

You need to have your bird examined by an avian veterinarian. There are several health conditions that can cause a bird's beak to grow improperly such as poor diet or a liver condition. Your avian vet can also groom your bird's beak back to a natural shape. If left untreated it may become increasingly difficult for your bird to eat or preen.
