Question
Currently i have my hair black and i want to dye my hair once more after i get my hair grown out.
But Jasmine my african grey when i get her in june i dont want her to get sick.Since parrots are toxic so i need some advice.
Should i not Dye my hair
Is it just the fumes and later everything will be fine if she isnt around me till im done dying my hair.
Or will it affect her the whole time my hair is dyed
Any thing to do with dying hair and African grey parrots tell me.
I dont want to hurt Jasmine.

Answer
How very caring of you to be concerned for her before she even gets there.
You can dye your hair, as long as the bird is not in the vicinity while you're doing it.  After your hair is done and the dye is rinsed out, the air is clear of any fumes, it's safe for her.

If, while you have her in the house you want to dye your hair, be sure you're far from the room she's living in and that you have windows open (weather permitting).  If opening windows without giving her a chill isn't possible, I strongly advise having your hair done someplace else rather than risking exposing such a sensitive respiratory system to fumes that even we shouldn't be inhaling.

I think you're going to be a wonderful companion!
