i have a hahans macaw who is 5 tame his cage is in my bedroom as he dont like his cage in living room but likes coming in living room to play he screams if i bring cage in living room i want to bring cage back in living room as i have another bird and i want to get him out of screaming when bring cage in and to make him more sociabble he is protective of me and cage my husband says he be better in avariry i dont want that to happen it would break my heart have you any advice  thank you tracy

hello,
a lot of people have the same problem. What you will need to do is move his cage in the living room and let him sit on top of the cage in the day while you are there and at night time put a sheet over his cage only at night. And he most likely will scream this is the hard part you will have to let him scream it may take awhile. Just make sure you don't hit the cage and when he screams don't go to his cage and hold him just pretend you don't hear him screaming. If you have any more ?S just ask.
