hi dianna i want to ask you that i have bought a parakeet and it is only 4weeks old,it is still in my mates house but i want to bring it home and my mate said give me about another 4 weeks cos you won't be able to feed it.please can you tell me if i should bring it home or not.thanks alot.

Hello Parvez and thank you for your post.
I would suggest that you wait for the rest of the 4 weeks to make sure that your new baby is weaned properly.
Bringing such a young bird in, espeecially if you are novice, can actually do more harm than good as hand feeding is very difficult to do and it is very time consuming.
