sun conures

i have a sun conure named sunny. we got him as a baby and he was as sweet as can be, he let us hold him and loved to be around people. now he is 1 year old and has changed. for the last 6 monthes he hasnt let us hold him or touch him. why? he squaks every time we start talking. why? last summer he was about 3 months we moved him out side,he is back in now but did he maybe feel he was not being payed enough attention?? we would love to hold him again so please help.

I found your question in the question pool.  The expert you sent your original post to could not answer for some reason.  Please tell me who that expert was.

So your bird basically changed when s/he reached about 6 months of age?  You need to provide much more information about your bird and about the entire situation before I can help further.  There can be many reasons for behavior changes and I need to understand your bird's basic personality and what changed in order to be of assistance.  Did you stop paying the bird the same amount of attention when s/he was 6 months old?  Did you stop holding the bird?  What type of diet is the bird on?  Do you allow the bird out of his/her cage?  I need details about your bird, your lifestyle, etc., in order to help.
