hey, my mum is gettin rid o 2 out of 3 small male white rats, i get to keep mine...
i need help on what is and isn't safe for a loned rattie to have and do...? please help me?

thank you for your question.
Rats are very social and need company, they must be kept at least in pairs. A single rat will be lonely and bored even if you spend a lot of time with it. See if you can convince your mum to let you keep two of the rats and give the other one to someone who already has rats. But if you really can only keep one rat, it's better to give them all away, they will be much happier together or in comapny of other rats than living alone with you. I'm sorry that you have to make that decision and I hope that you mum will allow you two rats.
