LOSING LEGS HELP!!!!!!!

my hermit crab i purchased about 1 month ago lost 4 legs just after i bathed it i see two small legs at the back and he still has his nippers. i fed him and gave him water and veerything he ate and drank. Now he has buried in the sand and i dont no if it is molting or something (i have never had a hermit crab molt before while i owned it). But pplease help am i doing the right thing?and what couls the falling off legs mean? also the tempreture is 25-30 degrees humidity is unknown. (sorry)

Do you use dechlorinated water when you bath the crab? What is the temperature? Dropping legs, especially that many is a sign of major stress or trauma. He may be molting, he might also be just burying down to de-stress.

You need to keep your temperature and humidity between 74 and 82.
