found hermit crabs at the beach

We found hermit crabs at the beach.  They look just like the onces they are selling at the store on the beach.  Can we keep them rather than buying from the store?  Are they the same as land hermit crabs?

Hello if they look exaclty the same they are probaly land hermit crabs all landhermit crabs are harvested from beaches in tropical areas and sold land hermit crabs can NOT be bred in captivity something about there babies needing to develop in the salt water ocean thencome to land to find shells once they are big enough.
