What is wrong?

My son's hermit crab has been tucked up in his shell for months and months! He had another one that died in the spring but this one has been tucked up and I don't think he ever comes out. Is there something I can do? What is going on?

If you've not seen him move at all for months, you might want to check to see if he passed away.

If he is alive, make sure the temperature and humidity are in the correct range. That has a big impact on how lively they are.

Offer him foods that will bring him out to the dish. Here's a great site that has a safe and unsafe food list.
