Question i am thinking about getting a hermit crab and i am wondering about what kind of a cage and how big of a cage.
how long they live?
what they eat?

Hermits can be kept in anything from a critter keeper plastic style 1 gallno to gallon tank all the way up to huge 90+ gallon glass fisht anks it depends how many you want and how nice you want the setup to be, A ten gallon plain fish tank with a lizard/snake style wire cover is great for msot beginers as it allows up to ten small or five large crabs to be kept. Hermits can live 20+ years tehre is currenlty aldy on the internet with two purple pinchers she has had for 25 years! if you try typing 25 year old hermit crabs into your serch engin you mgiht be able to find her website. They are best fed hermit crab pellets or "cakes" daily along with some fresh carrot/apple slices every few days.
