QuestionHi there I am hoping that within the next couple months i can get some hermit crabs and i was wondering what is the best species of hermit to get when your a beginner? Also what is the species most commonly sold at pet stores? Thanks!
AnswerThe best kind of crab for a beginner is a Purple Pincher or an Ecuadorian and both can be found in pet stores but you will most often find the PP. Smaller independantly owned crab stores often have the E's.
PP's are resiliant but often hide, E's are very curious and stay smaller than PP's.
