urgent please help my hermit crab

Question
My hermit crab DOT came out of her shell on 8-2  or 8-3. She and her antenna
are active. I have several shells in her crabitat and she is not going in any of
them.
Can you tell me what her problem is. I am worried sick. I have been searching
the net for an answer. Nobody can help me. .

thank you for your question.
You can try to put the cra into the shell again. Moisten your fingers, the shell and the crab's abdomen and gently push it into the shel again. If Dot doesn't want to go back in, put her back into the crabitat and leave her alone as much as possible. Keep the humidity extra high (80% or more) to keep her form drying out and put in some new shells or boil the old shells so that they smell different.
Crabs can survive without shells for weeks in captivity, so ubless she's sick, you have a very good chance of her going back into a shell soon.
