ok im needing help here my fuiture hermit crab that i want is now dead and I went through so much trouble to get it sooo. How can i find a great hermit crab for me?And would a hermit crab be good in living in South dakota because I live in Summerset and it is cold and in summer it gets in 90s and 100s?And can i carve a little branch from a tree for them?And one more thing how do i buy thoes garden things that grow food for your hermit crab in their tank? and do you half to grow them gardens in your crabitat?

Choose a crab that has good color and is active in the tank at the petstore.

Your crab should live in a climate controlled enclosure that keeps the humidity and temperature between 74 and 82. This is a requirement to keep your crabs alive.

And can i carve a little branch from a tree for them?

Depends on the type of tree. Maple or oak are great choices.

You don't need to buy it from a hermit crab place. Just get some coconut fiber bedding or worm casting and plant some bird seed or some wheat berries in it and let it grow before putting it in your tank.
