Question

crabitat
i bought this crabitat about a week ago and thaought it was cool until i one night i thought " maybe those bars aren't keeping in enough humidity" is that correct or is it ok that those bars are there. i don't have enough money to buy a new cage so i am really worried.the tempature is about 72 degrees f.

Answer
Hermit crabs don't generally do well in wire cages because they need to keep their temperature and humidity between 74 and 82 and that isn't very possible in a cage that has bars. You need to get a thermometer/hygrometer to know what the temperature and humidity are.

You could cover the bars with saran wrap but you should really try to get a 10 gallon tank. Look on freecycle and craig's list for free or very cheap tanks. Garage sales are great too!
