How long do hermit crabs live.

Hermit crabs you buy in the stores are already about 10 years old. In the wild they can live to be 30. In captivity they tend to live less because people don't know their needs. One lady has kept the same 2 for 50 years!!!!!!!! It all depends on their living conditions before you and how well you take care of them.
