QUESTION: Should I leave the heat lamp on my crabitate all the time???  I also have an aquarium light on my tank will this help with the general light the crabs need????

ANSWER: What type of heat lamp do you have? Generally they don't need a full heat lamp like a lizard unless your tank is very large. What are your temperature readings?

QUESTION: I have a 55gal. tank with 8 crabs in it.  My temp. runs 77-79 with tank light and heat lamp on.  The heat lamp I have is a Sun Glow 75W Neodymium Basking Spot Lamp.  Should I try going a day with no lights at all and see what the temp. is??????

Answer
Sunglo is a great choice. 75 watt seems a bit large for your tank, if your temp readings are at sand or mid tank level you should be fine. As long as you are turning it off at night (I have my lamps on a timer) and they have places to hide away from direct light, you should be in great shape!
