Ant Colony?

Hi,  
  Today i noticed countless and a massive amount of ants in my crabitat. I got rid of them by misting. Do you think the ants will build a nest or a colony? If They are, what are the effects? Apart from that, i always notice some green stuff growing in my tank and the food dish. Is it infectious or contaigious?

Keep an eye on them. I sometimes get ant problems in the spring. Take out all the food and follow the trail back to the source and work on blocking them there. Use cinnamon and terro to block and poison them. The biggest worry about ants moving their nest to your crabitat is 1, they may attack molters, the other worry is that once they set up shop, they will begin combing your house for food!

The green stuff is mold and need to be removed as soon as you find it. Some kinds of bacteria can harm crabs.
