Hermit crab vs marine

Question
I know that i want a hermit crab but i just don't know what kind to get.I have just found out that their are marine and land hermit crabs.Plae help me decide what would be best for a beginner

I have never owned any marine hermit crabs...only land hermit crabs! One day I hope too...they look very neat!! Do you prefer aquatic life such as fish ? Marine crabs only stay in water...but you can have fish with them...I would go with a land hermit..I think most marine crabs are saltwater and those type of tanks are expensive and difficult to maintain! That is my opinion..you could always ask the other experts too..see what they say! Good Luck!
