Hi,  
  My crabitat appears to be a little dull and rather boring, are there anyways to make it attractive? By the way can i determine the species of each crab by its colour?

If you belong to any hermit crab forums, my suggestion is to go to the forum that has other members crabitat pictures and look at theirs. You can add wood, fake and some real plants, rocks etc.
As for species ID, you can't go by color alone on most. Here's a great link for a species ID.
