How to tell??

How do you tell if a hermit crab is a boy or a girl? I heard that the girl has the big claw but I have also heard that the boy has it!!

Also do Hermit crabs need extra water to sit or cool off in not like your water dish but something else?!

You can tell if it is a boy or girl if you flip the crab over and if it is a girl u should see two small openings. A boy does not have any. The openings are called gonopores.

 You can mist the crab with a spray bottle and give it a bath at least once a month
