fungus gnats

Question

I have read online that forest bedding (the bedding that i use for my hermit hermit crabs) attracts fungus gnats and i was just wondering do the gnats grow in the bedding or do they fly in the crabs cage and live in there? And also is there anyway that i can prevent them from getting in the cage by still using that
bedding?

It does hav ethe possibility to attract gnats. There is a way to help stop them, it works for fruit flies too Here's the link for it.

Also try to keep food from spoiling in the tank. This also attracts them.
