QuestionI only now learned from stumbling onto these helpful sites w/hermit crab info, that I need '2'sets of water, 1 salt&1 regular, but dechlorinated,(id been using tap til now!) Also I was wondering how2 dilute the salt in water so I have a good ratio&balance for my purple pincher&is a purple pincher a land crab or ocean, cuz 1site said ocean hermits needed both fresh h saltwater so does tht mean land crabs don't need salywater also? Help- confused!!!
AnswerThe site you read must have mistyped. They meant land. Ocean crabs need to live underwater completely. If you buy Instant Ocean or Oceanic salt water mix from the petstore 1/2 a cup per gallon of water or 1/4 a cup per half gallon and the declorinator should do just fine!
