My guinea Pig..

Hey, I got my Piggy 2 days ago and I kinda started to pet it the day I got it and today i tryed holding it. He totally ran. I got him a plastic iglue for him and he is always hiding in there facing the wall. He always runs in there. Is he going to be ok later? Will he be comfratable with me holding him eventually? Help me please. Thanks!

Guinea pigs are very nervous animals by nature.  They are naturally at the bottom of the food chain, and they simply see you as a big predator.  They also love to hide.  When you combine these two things, that's what you've got going on.  What you need to do is simply keep on being patient with him and treating him well.  I wouldn't allow him to get away with hiding all the time, though.  I would gently get him out once a day and allow him to absorb your scent so he gets used to you.
