Question

Well Andy I am very sorry to say that Buttons died in my arms only a matter of hours after i sent you the e-mail,I still cry and feel like I could have spent more time with him.I have decided that I can't give up on Guinea Pigs all together and am getting a newborn sometime soon.Just incase Buttons's old cage may contain some sort of virus or disease still,I am buying a new cage tomorrow.I hope to grow a relationship somewhere near the special connection I had with Buttons.Life will be hard without him,but I hope to manage.Tis letter is already bringing tears to my eyes so I'm ending it.

I'll update you about the new piggy.

       Thanks,
        Marissa

Answer
Hi Marissa

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know exactly how you feel. When Graham, my first pig died, I cried for quite a few days and I am a 28 year old guy!

I am pleased you are gonna get another piggy. You would be ok to just sanitise the original hutch, but it isnt a bad idea getting a brand new one.

I am sure you will bond well with the new pig when he/she comes along. I wish you all the best.

All the best and take care.
