Zippy not feeling well? HELP!!!

Hello again Andy.  Zippy was feeling well until last night.  I am not sure if he got too cold or what?  I cover his cage up with a big beach towel to keep the breeze and cold air out.

He ate and drank plenty yesterday, jumping and doing his thing, but today he is doing nothing.  

He will not drink any water, I some what convinced him to eat a piece of orange.  He is just laying on the floor and won't move around?  Every now and then he will move, but very slowly.  And when he moves he goes backwards not forwards?  

He was weezing just a little, so I put just a smidge of vicks on his nose, and that has seemed to have stopped the weezing?  

I am so devastated, and feel so useless that I cannot help him.  When do you think I should take him to the vet?

I think you should take zippy to vet asap. The symptoms you describe could indicate a few different ailments.

I am not surprised that the vicks has helped, that would have been what I would recommend.

Its the lack of activity that most concerns me, so a trip to the vet is your best bet to rule out any serious problems.

P.S If it has been a hot day, he might have heat exhaustion, so wrap him in a slightly damp towell for 10 or so mins.
