How can I get my two males to get along?

I have one young guinea pig who is under 1 year old. I was considering buying another one and I was told that since my guinea pig is young, I could get another male (also under 1 year). I bought that guinea pig, but the two dont quite get along. I have tried distracting them with treats and cleaning the cage out so that it is neutral territory, but it doesnt seem to work. They constantly chase one another around the cage, making a purring noise and they cant seem to share food (one always keeps another away from the food). I really want them to get along peacefully! What should I do?

I do not know if there is anything you can do to let them get along together. If they simply do not like each other, then they wont. Sorry but normally males do no9t get along any ways.... good luck though. Be careful sometimes they can seriousley injure eachother fighting for territory.
