how old should cavies be before i can give them away

My gf had two gp's that she rescued.  And she recently found out the female was pregnant - and just gave birth.  She is seeking to give them away, but is unsure of what age is appropriate to do this.  Can you provide advice in this regards.

There are 2 pieces of information you need here. Firstly, if there are any male babies, please remove them from their mother at 4 weeks of age, no later. This will prevent the boys from impregnanting the mum.

Both the males and female babies can be rehomed at 6 weeks of age. Any time before that would be quite traumatic for the babies.
