swollen face

i have just noticed my pigs face is uneven where one side is normal the other looks swollen and seems to be hanging down he is still running around and eating as normal should i be worried i thought he might have had some sort of stroke. how long to pigs live for? I've had mine about 5 years thanks mel

You have an older Guinea Pig so it wouldn't be uncommon for him to have had a stroke. Guinea Pigs live anywhere from 5 to 8 years normally though the longest living Guinea Pig on record was 14 years and 10 months old. So they can live a long time, but the normal lifespan is 5 to 8 years.

Best advice I can give is take him to the vet and have him looked at. Just to make sure nothing is messing with is jaw and that he is alright.
