Baby guinea pig born milky eye

Question
Hi

I have two female guinea pigs, both were pregnant when purchased.  One gave birth to a litter of 3 about a week ago and mother and babies are doing fine.  The other gave birth just a couple of days ago to a litter of 2, one looks fine but the other one has like a milky film over its eyes.  Will this go or do we have to treat it? is there any treatment for it or does it mean that the guinea pig is blind?

Thanks

Answer
Hello,
your guinea may have cataracts which cannot reaaly be cured, if in only 1 eye your guinea can still see but not very clearly, consult your vet. Your guinea may have blocked tear ducts which you can cure(go to your vet to get eye drops)
Bathe your guineas eye each day but do not prod or poke it.
Best wishes
