Guinea pig is drooling, cant eat and has a growth inside his mouth

Hi, my guinea pig is loosing weight, has trouble eating and there is a large purplish growth inside mouth next to the tongue.  Is it a tumor?

He needs to see a vet right away. It's likely either a tumor or an abscess and both will require a vet's care. Tumors can be removed and abscesses can be treated by removal, antibiotics, and/or draining.
