adding a gp friend

hey Andy I have of about 1 1/2 year old guinea pig and I am thinking of finding him a friend and I am unsure of whether I should get a male friend or female friend and have one of them neutered. Also if I get a friend for him, what size of a cage should I get for the both of them?

Neutering, as with any operation on a guinea pig is risky so a baby male (not older than 6 weeks) is best as the adult is more likely to accept him.

As big a cage as you can afford is the answer to your 2nd question. However, make it at least 3 feet wide.
