guinea pig pregnanacy

Hi, after much persuasion I allowed our 17 month old female guinea pig to mate and she is now heavily preganant, 8 weeks to day. I have seen the advice- too late - that she should have had a litter before 7 months old. What do I do now?

Hello,
Your guinea may die because her pelvic bones have fused together, you could ask your local vet to do an operation, when the young are born she may not be able to look after them. Make sure you feed her lots of vitimin c.
