Question
I'm not sure what breeds my guinea pigs are but i can describe them.
1st one: looks like himalayan, quite rough fur. pink eyes, NO brown feet. PINK feet
2nd one: White all over fur with black around the eyes, smooth coat.
What breeds are they?

And also, im breeding them what will the babies come out as?

Answer
Hi Grace,

The coat color types of your guinea pigs do not sound as if they are any one specific type, but simply beautiful broken coloreds.  "Broken color" is the name given to coats that have more than one color present in no distinct or known pattern.  The coat type of the rough one, if you are sure it is not an American or an Abyssinian, sounds like it could be a teddy.

If you breed them, they should produce white and/or cream colored babies with tiny patches of brown or black.  Since there is not a very diverse color combination on either of them, it should not be too difficult to imagine what the babies would look like.  Also, they should all have black eyes with the exception of one or two that may have dark ruby eyes.  I may be able to make a more accurate prediction if you sent me links to pictures.

Since you described one of your piggies as having rough fur, and rough fur is dominant over smooth fur, you can assume that the babies will be hybrids for rough fur, exhibiting hair similar to the rough parent.

Thank you for your question, I hope I have been of some help to you. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  Good luck with your guinea pigs (=
