Question
Hi I've just adopted 2 male cavy that are 2 years old. I have bought them a new hutch which is 2 tier and has access via a ramp. The problem is they wont go up or down it. Any ideas please. Also they are extremely shy and hide as soon as I go near. What can I do to get them to accept me touching tem. Ant answers would be appreciated.

Answer
Hi, you cant get guinea pigs to do that at as soon as they move into your house. They will be scared and shy, after a while there curiosity will get the better of them and they will eventually climb it, or you could put some food leading up the ramp for them to eat. To bond with them you have to cuddle them each for atleast 30 minutes a day, if you miss one day they will lose tamness, it has to be consistent. Hope this helps. Just be patient!
