My guinea pig is anti-social

Dear Meagan,
my guinea pig Bella is really anti-social.She won't play with me and when I take her out to play she'll just run behind something and won't come out. She also runs in to her plastic igloo every time anyone walks by her cage. My friend has a Bunny and her bunny hops around her room. I want to be able to do that with my guinea pig but I'm afraid that she'll hide behind something and never come out. I don't know what to do!
P.S I've had her for about a year and a half.

Sounds like you got a shy piggie on your hand!

Before you take her somewhere like your room, sit with her in a rabbit run or next to her by her cage
so that she gets used to you being around
hold her a lot walk around holding her
watch tv with her on your lap!

Once she loves you, (it may only take a week of constant lovin') she will be happy to run around with you!

however guinea pigs are well known, friendly or not, to hide and nibble!

i dont recommend letting piggies lose in rooms, there are soo many wires and nooks and crannies!
