HI,
I ALREADY HAVE ONE MALE GUINEA PIG AND I WANT ANOTHER ONE! BUT I ONLY HAVE 1 CAGE AND I KNOW THAT MY DAD IS NOT GOING TO BUY ANOTHER CAGE. SO... I WOULD HAVE TO PUT THEM IN THE SAME CAGE. I DID THIS BEFORE, AND AT FIRST, MY FIRST ONE DIDN'T LIKE THE NEW ONE.BUT LATER ON THEY BECAME BEST FRIENDS.SHOULD I STILL GET ANOTHER ONE?
PLEASE,PLEASE ANSWER SOON
BRIANNA 10 YRS. OLD
-----Answer-----
Would it make a difference if we bought a female? or would there still be the potential for the older male to hurt the younger female? thanks.. Brianna's dad.
AnswerIf you bought a female the potential would be babies and lots of them. Females are ready to breed at only 6 weeks old, so to put a male and female together would result in babies.
If you really want two Guinea Pig, you'll have to buy another cage or build a temporary one until the two males become friends.
Good Luck,
Jules
